Here are three Ayurvedic remedies for healthy teeth and gums, digestion and healthy joints. These are tips straight from India - this is one article you will absolutely love reading. Today is your lucky day because my aunt just sent this remedy straight from India, and asked me to share it with my "people." LOL. OK. I better! Otherwise, she will be asking me about it..:)
One of the things I have always emphasized from day 1 since TGR launched about the importance of sulfur for preventing or reversing cancer. You might remember when you signed-up that the FIRST recipe that you got in your welcome email was my raw ginger-garlic paste recipe. Why? Because we Indians eat this paste almost daily - adding it to our dishes while cooking and so on and some even eat it raw. Needless to say, India has had very low rate of cancer as compared to other countries (esp. up until last two decades, when gmos, refined oils, meat and the Western junk food entered India and became Indians favorite food!). In fact, before the last two decades, 'cancer' was an unknown word in Indian culture. No. I am not kidding! Anyways, another thing you will notice in my recipes is that they always have lots of onions - always. Same point - sulfur! Anyways, now about this amazing brilliant remedy - It is used in India for cancer, immunity, joint aches, inflammation, respiratory illness, fever, and well, basically, is a great way to boost immunity to prevent diseases. 1. So today's first Ayurvedic remedy? This is from Baba Ramdev's tv show that airs regularly in India and is watched by millions of Indians daily. He is known for bringing back Ayurveda and showing its importance to the modern Indians...who had long forgotten about it and have adapted to Western medicine. He also has his own products - herbal Ayurvedic products that sell all over India and now, globally. You can also check him out on YouTube. Baba Ramdev's Ayurvedic Remedy Recipe - 1. Raw turmeric root 2. Ginger 3. Garlic 4. Onions Quantity of Each? - Equal proportions of each - roughly. No exact estimate given. Method - Take all and puree in the juicer or mixer. Strain and take the juice of these 4 in the morning on empty stomach. That is it. Take about 1 oz. if you are a healthy being. If you have some condition like cancer, take about 2 oz. or more. You get the idea - do not take too much but make it effective according to your present condition. The pulp left behind is to be used in the day's recipe - so if you are cooking one of my recipes for example, that is your best bet to add this pulp and use it, as the flavors will go very well with my recipes. Do NOT throw the pulp! It is gold in its nutrients and cancer fighting power. My Notes - If you don't have fresh turmeric root, then add pinch of turmeric powder and take. Turmeric is best absorbed with some healthy fats - so it is a good idea to eat your first meal shortly after this. The healthy oils in your meal will help the nutrients from this remedy get absorbed better and faster. Also, as for my recipe, if you need it again, here it is to help you further - My Ginger Garlic Paste 2. One of my other closest and dearest aunts who lives in India came here due to my dad's passing. As we were talking, she mentioned how she and my uncle were having lot of stiffness and pain in the joints and yet, there was this neighbor - much older than both of them and still she was very active and had no pains or stiffness.. This neighbor was from a nearby village and she knew ancient remedies that most city folks don't know about so my aunt asked her what is her secret for staying so active and pain-free even though she was old enough to have arthritis? The lady told her - "What pain or arthritis? I will tell you and you do it for one month and it will be completely gone!" So, what was the remedy? - Eating few walnuts everyday first thing in the morning on an empty stomach (soak the walnuts and then have them). My aunt and uncle did as she said and within a month they were both back to walking and all the issues of pain, stiffness and arthritis went away. Unlike the Western world that is hooked on 'research', here we have no 'research' or 'research papers' or needing 'scientific evidence' - just plain good old ancient knowledge and that is how we do it in India. Proudly. Try this remedy and it might just work for you. Happy to pass this miracle secret to you and others. If you have elderly parents or grandparents, this might work for them too. 3. Here is a very ancient Indian remedy that I just found out about - it helps to whiten teeth, prevents oral infections, keeps gums healthy, gets rid of plaque and tartar as well as gum bleeding and keeps your mouth healthy and fresh. If you have been following my recipes, then you already know how much I value (and love!) mustard oil - it is THE oil of India since ancient times and especially, north India. Remedy - -Mustard Oil - 1/2 Teaspoon -Sea salt - 1/2 Teaspoon -Turmeric - 1 Teaspoon (Teaspoons are little size teaspoons here - you don't need too much of this paste for the entire mouth). How To Use This Paste - Simply make this paste and apply it on your teeth and gums daily twice to reap the benefits. Massage this paste for about 2-3 minutes and then you may rinse it off with warm or room temperature water. Must be done after brushing. -Somyata
