Cloves Benefits for Digestion, Sleep, Hair, Skin & Much More!
Cloves is one miraculous spice as it can help you with improving your digestion, sleep, hair, skin and oral health plus much more. Cloves are also excellent for women's health - find out more.
One of the best things you can do for your health is to incorporate cloves into your daily health routine. This article is very detailed to help you understand the very benefits of this miraculous spice called cloves or as 'laung' in Hindi in India.

So, without wasting much time, let's start right away!

Last year when I was juggling so much, I have to say that cloves and clove essential oil were my absolute best (and favorite too!) saviors and this article details why.

Cloves are highly revered in Ayurveda due to their medicinal properties and clove tea is an extension of that.

Drinking cloves tea or taking cloves powder daily gives many benefits -

-drinking cloves tea before bed promotes deep restful sleep.

-cloves can help your digestion as they are a warming spice so if you suffer from digestive issues like bloating, gas, constipation, tummy aches and such, have some cloves tea daily twice a day and see how much it benefits you.

-cloves boost immunity and blood circulation

-cloves are anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, antiviral and anti-fungal and are rich in antioxidants as well as flavonoids with their main compound being eugenol - all of these can really help boost your bone health

-cloves are analgesic in nature meaning they reduce the pain in the body so if you suffer from any aches and pains, drink cloves tea everyday and yield the benefits.

-swish your mouth with clove water for a few minutes daily to kill oral bacteria since cloves are antimicrobial. This will also prevent cavities, gum disease, inflamed gums and bad breath.

-having some cloves powder or drinking cloves tea daily will help clean your liver and protect it from free radicals.

-cloves are known to lower risk of heart disease, cancers and diabetes.

-if you are dealing with skin problems like redness, eczema, acne or inflammation, then drinking cloves water/tea daily can really help you. You can also mix some cloves powder in your recipes or tea blends and have it that way.

-if you suffer from respiratory problems like colds, coughs, mucus, asthma, bronchitis, weak or inflamed lungs, or if you would just like to strengthen your respiratory tract, taking cloves daily in the form of cloves powder or cloves tea can help greatly.

-it is said that taking cloves at night will boost your immunity and promote sleep. In India, it is believed that drinking cloves tea at night will double its benefits - it improves your digestion, relieves stomach problems, gives deep restful sleep, reduces any aches and pains in the body and also kills bad bacteria in the mouth.

-cloves are known to gently detox your body as cloves are known for detoxifying the liver and this is one of the reasons why cloves are essential for beautiful, healthy skin.

-make your own oral rinse by having some clove water as your natural, organic mouthwash!

Clove Essential Oil Benefits -

-apply clove oil with a carrier oil on your joints, back, hips or anywhere you have aches and pains! Clove oil is one of the BEST remedies for aches and pains as it is extremely analgesic.

-use clove oil to boost skin health by adding it to your favorite carrier oil or lotion and applying it on your face and body. Clove oil is known for brightening the dull, dry skin, healing acne marks or scars, blemishes and helping with conditions like eczema.

-massage some clove oil diluted on your scalp and hair to boost hair growth.

-apply clove oil on your tooth or gums diluted with coconut oil to relieve your toothache or cavities.

-clove oil is great for healing dark spots or aging spots - use it diluted with carrier oil or your favorite lotion.

I would like all my amazing followers in this group to start on clove water right away or you can also start adding some clove powder to your drinks, teas and recipes - your choice!

Cloves Tea Recipe -

This is basically soaking a few cloves in water overnight or boiling it for even more potency and then drinking it the next day or even better, the next night..

Make the cloves tea recipe as outlined in the newsletter - boil clove powder or few cloves in water, simmer, turn the stove off, cover and let it sit overnight before taking it next morning or evening.

When you take it, warm it again and then sip the delicious cloves tea slowly and enjoy!

Cloves Tea Other Benefits & Uses -

Hair - use this water to make a hair rinse or hair spray and get the BEST, most fabulous hair of your life ever!

Cloves are known for boosting hair growth and that too, very fast results! Clove water will nourish and clean your scalp, prevent dryness and dandruff, will boost the health of your hair follicles and strengthen your roots! Yup.

Not only that, clove water will prevent hair from greying and may even reverse it. Clove water is used a LOT in India to add hair shine, boost hair growth and completely reverse hair loss. Not only that, it is also used to help and reverse alopecia in both men and women!

Works for ALL hair types! Give it a try and see for yourself.

You can put it in a spray bottle and do it that way or use it as a hair rinse once or twice a week or more depending on your need and wish. Store the remaining in the fridge. You can even add some essential oils to it like rosemary, clove or any of your choice.

Once you spray it or rinse with it, DON'T wash it! Let your hair sun-dry naturally and then comb them gently after that.

Always tie your hair in braids or a bun to protect them from hair fall and to reverse hair loss.

Skin/Face - clove water is excellent (I really mean 'excellent') as a 100% natural face toner. Stop using too much soap on your face - simply use clove water to clean your face and reap the benefits of soft, firm, smooth skin.

Cloves are antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory so clove water can help calm inflamed skin plus can prevent redness and acne from happening. Clove water is also good for hyperpigmentation.

You can spray it as a natural toner or apply it mixed with your serums or creams on your face. You can also use some clove oil.

NOTE - Always do a patch test on your skin to make sure you are not allergic to clove water. Use diluted clove water at first and increase the potency gradually to make sure your skin adapts to it perfectly.

Women's Health -

Cloves can help women with improving bone health, immunity and sleep as many women complain of poor sleep quality and also can benefit sexual health.

Cloves are known to improve women's libido and sexual performance, fertility, better blood flow,
better orgasms, and they can help balance hormones as well as reduce pain and inflammation in the reproductive organs since cloves are highly analgesic due to eugenol.

Cloves or clove water can also help with pms and menstrual pains.

So, there you have it! Cloves are a woman's best friend! Love my warm cloves tea..:)

Precautions -

-though small amount of cloves per day is not an issue and have been consumed daily by many cultures worldwide since centuries including Indian culture, you may still want to consult your doctor before taking cloves if you are on blood thinners

-do NOT take more than 2-5 cloves per day!

-pregnant or breast feeding woman must consult their doctor before taking cloves daily

With so many benefits, give cloves a try today and see the miracles of this amazing spice.

Since I do not know what 'digestive issues' you are having, I cannot advise you on any recommendations but you can definitely start with drinking some cloves tea as it has many benefits. I hope this helps! -Somya.
