The benefits of oats for dogs are many but this is even better if we add some more nutrients; here's a oats recipe video for dogs.
One of the best way to start taking charge of your dog's health is by cooking home-made meals. This is the magic 'secret' to saving tons of money in vet bills as well as keeping your beloved pet healthy. And no, don't worry, you won't have to spend hours and hours in the kitchen to cook for Fido.

As promised, you will be led into it gently - so that it is not only do-able but also you don't feel overwhelmed and easy for you and your dog to adapt.

Now, about this recipe. This recipe is great as it is quick, one-pot and all ingredients are probably in your pantry, if not, they are easy to find. Make this recipe fresh - it is also very healing to dogs suffering from ibd/ibs or other digestive issues. Oats have an amazing soothing effect on dog's digestion and when I rescued a dog with horrible ibd, I started cooking with oats. And that is one of the reasons why my dog healed.

But this oats recipe is very general in my home, means I make it often. I do not add canned pumpkin except when I buy it in winter sometimes as I do not support canned foods, not even for my dogs. But because of my dog who needed pumpkin, I decided that temporarily I will buy pumpkin, though organic and BPA-free can. Hence, the pumpkin in the video. Sometimes I buy the regular pumpkin puree from Whole Foods as pumpkin has very thick skin or outer flesh so it hardly gets any pesticides in the inside.

NOTE - You can start slow - mix all this with dog food or even better, mix little bit of this with some boiled brown rice and lentils and let your dog's digestion adjust to it slowly by slowly. Oats are sticky and tend to clump up as they cool, so mixing this with brown rice will take care of stickiness issue and if you have any left-over, then before storing in the fridge, mix brown rice and this mixture together thoroughly and then store on lower bottom. Next day, when serving your dog, mix again and it will be better to eat.

It will start cleaning your dog's body of impurities that years of dog food has accumulated in the system.

Flax seeds, coconut oil, spinach and apple cider vinegar are all great for cleansing. Adding raw anti-oxidant paste takes the healing to the next level - nourishing nutrients while cleansing your dog's system. All from nature's pharmacy - what more can you ask for?

BUT as you start, plz. do NOT make the raw beet paste - start only with this recipe and add greens to your dog's diet like spinach or kale. This alone will help your dog more than enough for now. So, start here - this week.

Plz. share this video to help dogs achieve 'dead-food' a.k.a dog food - FREE life. For Goodness's sake!!

Enjoy!

Very good ideas but white captions on a pale background do not work, not readable

Thanks - I saw the comment and I felt the same about the video captions. Not for this video - as I will not edit this, but for future ones I will see if any other color is possible for captions..:)

My dogs get oatmeal every morning for their breakfast. No pumpkin then. They get banana, blueberries, tofu & ground flaxseed. Pumpkin every other night (alternate with butternut squash). Tonight they will get quinoa, spinach, pumpkin puree, black beans & humane certified eggs scrambled in coconut oil. Everything organic of course. Turmeric and a little black pepper for everyone, hemp seed oil for my two with joint issues. Please know, all four are senior dogs, the smallest 17 pounds, the largest 60, all thriving. I highly endorse Somyata's recommendations. She is the reason my dogs are doing so well!

I was at my e-mail and just saw your notification and I knew I had to reply right then! Thank YOU Kim for such a sweet comment - it made my day! I will call it my "holiday gift". LOL. And NO, your dogs are doing so well because of YOUR commitment as I have always, always said to you from Day 1 since we connected....Even before you joined TGR, you have been cooking for long time for your dogs and this is the reason why they are doing so well. However, thank YOU for being part of TGR and believing in my articles/recipes despite the fact that TGR is still a relatively new baby (I call TGR my baby since I love it so much! Its my dream!). And don't go anywhere, in the New Year, I start all my readers/subscribers on powerful cancer prevention tips for the dogs. I know its the holiday season and people are busy so I do not want to release any new articles...but in new year, omg! you are going to love the upcoming articles.

Oh yes, on 'holiday' note, hope you tried some of my Hot Chocolate recipes - the 3 versions! I hope you and your husband enjoyed and liked it. I LOVE Christmas!

I will be taking all my dogs for the FREE Christmas photo event that takes place at Petsmart on coming 2 weekends. We go every year and enjoy the Santa pics. Lol. Enjoy the holiday season and have a great time with your very pampered pooches! -Somyata.
