Spiced Pears with Coconut Ice Cream
Delicious poached pears cooked to perfection with various spices like saffron, nutmeg and many more and served with coconut ice cream.
If you have been part of The Garden Recipe from the get-go or just even last few months, then you know that I do not like desserts and that is because I just don't have a sweet tooth to try something sweet or want something sweet after food - nope that is not me..:)

So, then, it was this year on my birthday when I decided to make something special for my loved ones and I wanted to have something sweet after serving them my Beet-Carrot Soup and the Sweet Potato and Sage pasta which by the way were a huge hit..:) so do give these recipes a try and so for dessert, I decided to go with something quick, easy and something that I can bring to fruition without ruining the recipe!!

So, here is my special recipe for you - Spiced Pears which are basically poached or cooked pears with various spices and then sweetened with coconut sugar.

Here is my recipe and the video - do give it a try and do leave me a comment how you liked it and if your loved ones enjoyed it too. I highly suggest serving it with coconut vanilla bean ice cream because it is ethical, takes in animal welfare of cows that are brutally treated in the dairy industry and besides that, coconut ice cream (or any dairy free ice cream) is much lighter on your tummy and and the tummy of your guests and can also help those enjoy the ice cream and the dessert who are lactose intolerant - it's a win-win for all!

Good for you, good for your guests, good for the animals and good for the planet! Now that's a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's!

Enjoy!
