The Tree, His Dreams & His Struggles

What do you do when your past mistakes are too heavy and weighing you down? How do you move forward towards your dreams while making sense of the turbulent past? 

The Sun, The Moon, The Rain, Thunder & Lightning and The Innocent Tree

Once upon a time, the Universe was in a very good mood and gave birth to a beautiful, innocent Tree. The Sun wrapped its arms around the Tree everyday and gave it warmth and slowly by slowly, the Tree started growing. The Winds made sure the Tree was strong and the Moon made sure the Tree had restful sleep each night, and as the Tree slept under moonlight each day, the Moon planted Dreams in the baby Tree. 

"Life will be like this...Life will be like that...I will do this...I will do that...", and so on, the baby Tree would think as it grew. But what the Tree didn't know is that it would have to fight through many challenges before the Universe would allow its Dreams to come true... 

The Sun, knowing the foolish innocence of the Tree very well, decided to make the Tree stronger. The Sun's intensity increased - now the warmth became like burning hot fire on the Tree's leaves and branches. The Winds of Change arrived - they became very turbulent, I mean so turbulent that life became out of order and chaotic for the Tree, and the Tree could barely stand its ground and many, many times, succumbed to the turbulent Winds of Change. 

The Moonlight knew the Dreams it had planted in the Tree's Heart - so it too, increased its intensity. Now, the nights in the life of the Tree became very cold and harsh. The Tree cried itself to bed each night - it was very cold and felt alone. The Tree shivered with fear - will it survive the hot fire by the Sun, the turbulent Winds of Change, and now, the cold and lonely nights by the Moon? And if the Tree is no more, then how will its Dreams come true? 

The Universe watched all this in silence. It then asked the Rain, the Thunder and the Lightning to come and do their job - the Rain was to wash away all of yesterday's sins, the Thunder was to be so loud to wake the Tree up despite the fears, and the Lightning was to show the Tree that all you need are little flickers of Light to see your way through in the darkness. 

The Tree was tired - his Soul was exhausted from all this. It was too much for the Tree. The Tree started breaking down and could no longer take it. Its leaves and branches started falling away. Many leaves had decayed due to the Sun's burning rays. Many old branches had fallen due to the Winds of Change.
Tree's Heart was now closed, never to open again! The Tree said to himself - "That's it! I will never open my Heart ever again! Never.  Ever. Never! My Heart is closed forever now!"

Even the Moon had become too cold for the Tree, and the once innocent, playful Tree now did not even care about his Dreams. The Tree finally broke down and thought it was better to end it all. The Tree was silently mad and upset. Its Heart was broken. It finally asked the Universe, "Why would you do this to me?!  Why?!"

Then, finally, the mighty Universe spoke - "You had dreams so I sent you turbulent winds so that your past will not haunt you so that you can shed all parts of you that no longer serve you and that have failed you so you don't make the same mistakes again and again. I gave you Sunlight so that you will know that I support you and through the God Surya, you will always be taken care of - for it is this Sun that breeds life to the entire Earth, and so to you as well. 

When you had intense burning from the Sun, and the intense cold, the harsh nights of your life from the Moon, I shaped you to come out of it and rise above so you can become ready for your Dreams. The Rain, the Thunder and the Lightning, all came to show you that - you will be taken care of always, and everything from the Past must be washed away daily. The Thunder was to show you that despite the loud noises of your Past, you will still find silence and calmness each day when you wake up, and the Lightning to show you that to find your way in the darkness, just enough Light is needed - not much. Now, I have shaped you well, and given you all, and now go and make your dreams come true - one by one."

The innocent Tree finally understood everything - it all made sense to him - his Past and the turbulent winds, the cold, harsh nights of his Life, and all the 'shaping' by the Universe. He thanked the Universe and now, went on his way to help the world - by believing in himself finally and following his Dreams. 

When Life gets too much or thoughts bring you down, remember this - your time IS coming and this time, it will be better than ever because you have been shaped very well by Life itself. Give yourself some time and a chance...will you?! Give your Heart - that you have closed off so badly, a chance to open up and guide you. Your time is coming - if you only allow it...:)
