Tahini Recipe w/Raw Onion

​A creamy, delicious tahini recipe that you can make at home & add to spreads, pasta, etc. A secret takes this recipe to another level!

I know we all LOVE tahini; really, who doesn't? But I decided to add a new twist to my recipe - raw onion. You just won't believe how tasty this tahini came out at the end and then I paired it with paste (or should I say used it as a pasta dressing). The end result? All I can say is try it and you will know! This is one recipe that will become a staple in your home - it is easy, quick and versatile and below, I have listed the many ways you can enjoy this tahini.

Ingredients -

1. Organic sesame seeds
2. 1 organic onion - yellow if possible.
3. 1 garlic

4. Lemon juice
5. Organic, cold-pressed  olive oil

How To Pair?

You can use this tahini with my pasta recipe (click on last pic below), you can have it as a sandwich spread or even as a pizza spread! Very healthy & super tasty! Another way to enjoy this is by adding it to soups while serving to guests - a dollop of this tahini at the end would be an excellent addition as the raw onion and the toasted sesame taste will only enhance the flavors of soups or stews or your other recipes. You can also use it in salads as a dressing. Also, pair it with some Mediterranean rice or couscous. Last but not least, this tahini is great in lettuce wraps or kale wraps.
​There - so many uses! Now, make it and enjoy!

NOTE:

1. If you are using this tahini right away in your recipe (like I made my pasta and mixed it in it), then to ease the blending process for a smoother tahini, you can add 2 spoons of water, if needed.
​2. If you plan to store it for few weeks, then do NOT add any water as it will spoil fast. You will have to add more oil and a pinch of sea salt to blend and store it for longer time.
