Basil pesto with lots of walnuts! Unique & something new for a change. Try this pesto & add to your pastas, pizza or toast. Inc.  video.

Ah! Basil pesto is my favorite but so are walnuts; so I thought why not combine both and voila! This came out so rich and creamy and a new 'something' than the same old-same old pine nuts pesto. I also love the fact that walnuts are so heart healthy and they provide lots of good fat to our body so eating them in recipes such as this one makes it even easier to take them  in your health-care regimen.

After making this pesto, do remember to check out my pasta recipe (3rd pic posted below for your ease). Just click on the pic and it will take you their.
Alright, so let's start.

Ingredients -

1. Organic basil - 5 oz
2. Walnuts - see video for quantity or per choice.
3. 1 garlic

4. Lemon juice
5. Organic, cold-pressed  olive oil

Simple steps -

Watch the video/pics for step-by-step recipe.

Compost - Plz. start composting. Imagine if all of us stopped using plastic bags for such stupid reasons? How Earth will change overnight? If you don't have compost bin in your home, you can make one. Or else, just go outside and give it to the soil - plants will use it for their food and thank you.
1. Ingredients you need.
2. Mix & adjust...
3. Here is the PASTA I made using this pesto. Enjoy!

Tomorrow, when the rain stops, I will pick some of my yummy basil and make this delicious looking pesto. I love the suggestions about how to use it other than on pasta.

Also, the idea of composting is unheard of for people in apartments and those who don't have gardens, but it's so easy to do right in your kitchen and then use to grow micro-greens.

Well, the rain finally stopped and I picked my fresh basil that I blessed and thanked for growing so hardy and plentiful. Then, I made your pesto recipe and was amazed at how different it tastes from the usual pine nut pesto. It is DELICIOUS. Fortunately I made enough to freeze for future dishes. On part of my meal, I added some Nutritional Yeast which I've not used before. This gave it a different flavor.

Thank you for offering an alternative to pesto made with pine nuts.
