We need to take care of our respiratory health in all weathers - when the weather gets warm and everyone starts to enjoy the outdoors more and as the summer travel nears, it is a great idea to keep some natural remedies in your holistic cabinet to prevent allergies, flu, cold, cough, etc. and when the weather is cold, we are prone to similar issues plus during holidays or festival seasons, we eat lot of heavy food so we need not just the respiratory support but also for our digestive health - Sitopaladi churna can help with both. Sitopaladi Churna Benefits - -Sitopaladi is great for colds, cough, flu, fever, allergies and helps boost immunity -Sitopaladi helps with pneumonia, pharyngeal and chest congestion, asthma, bronchitis, tuberculosis, respiratory infections and distress, lung conditions, pleurodynia, intercostal neuralgia -Sitopaladi helps with soothing vocal cords, inflammation of vocal chords and may help tonsils as Sitopaladi is an expectorant -Sitopaladi helps remove the toxins (ama) from the body and acts as a detoxifier =Sitopaladi helps with digestion due to its carminative properties (relieving gas) and bloating and may help improve appetite -Sitopaladi is great for those who feel weak due to anemia as it may help with restoring iron levels in the body by helping with better iron absorption -Sitopaladi helps the body get rid of phlegm, excess mucus and helps clear nasal pathways. All these ingredients are used as whole ingredients generally and then grounded into a fine powder hence the reason why it is called as churna or churan in Ayurveda. Taste of Sitopaladi Churna - The taste of Sitopaladi is described as both bitter (katu rasa) and sweet (madhura). When & How to Take Sitopaladi Churna - Sitopaladi is best taken after meals - taking it on an empty stomach is NOT advised. You can take it with warm water or honey as advised by Ayurvedic makers of this churan. Take it about 45 minutes after a meal as water will disrupt the digestion process - take the Sitopaladi churan (1/2 to 1 Teaspoon) with warm water or honey after the meal but make sure to keep a gap. Do not eat anything 30 minutes to an hour after taking Sitopaladi churan to maximize its absorbency and benefits. Who Should NOT Take Sitopaladi Churna - -Pregnant or nursing mothers should consult Ayurvedic doctor before taking Sitopaladi churna -Sitopaladi is made with cane sugar so take precautions if you are diabetic or already have high sugar on that day when you plan to take it. -Children should not take Sitopaladi without consulting Ayurvedic practitioners End Note - Sitopaladi is an excellent and safe Ayurvedic remedy to always keep at home and when travelling.
