Can Black Seed cure cancer? Can it help in autoimmune disease & inflammatory conditions like rheumatoid arthritis? Find out in this article & learn how to take it.
Oh! the "blessed oil!" as it is called and for really good reasons. Makes sense when it can cure just about everything except death - as Prophet Muhammad said about this oil.

History of the "Blessed seed" or Nigella Sativa -

Black seeds have a long history - they have been used since ancient times in Egypt and Turkey, going back as much as 2nd millennium BCE. The Nigella sativa seeds were found in ancient Egypt including in Tutankhamum's tomb. The oldest people said to cultivate this blessed seed are Assyrians and Egyptians.

It is used a lot in Indian, Middle Eastern, Armenian, Turkish, Polish, and more cuisines. It grows mainly in south and southwest Asia. It is also called black cumin seed, black caraway, fennel flower, Roman coriander and Kalonji in Hindi & Urdu.

Nigella Sativa - The "Blessed  Seed" in Religious Texts -

Black seed have been mentioned in the Torah, in the Bible and the Hadith. Here is a famous quote by Prophet Muhammad regarding this miracle seed - "Use this black seed regularly, because it has a cure for every disease except death.”

Chemistry of Nigella Sativa -

Directly from Wikipedia - N. sativa oil contains linoleic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid, and trans-anethole, and other minor constituents. Aromatics include thymoquinone, dihydrothymoquinone, p-cymene, carvacrol, α-thujene, thymol, α-pinene, β-pinene and trans-anethole. Oils are 32% to 40% of the total composition of N. sativa seeds.

Why does Black Seed Oil work so well?

The reason it is so powerful is because of its thymoquinone content and add to it, its high nutrient and amino acid profile, it works fast to lower inflammation and cure any disease.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY HERE; IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE CONDITIONS, THEN YES, IT APPLIES TO YOU & YOU CAN GIVE IT A TRY. I AM JUST WRITING THE SUMMARY OF ITS BENEFITS HERE AS THERE ARE TOO MANY TO PARAGRAPH EACH.

It is great for joint pain, swelling, headaches/migraines, cancer pains, post-cancer treatment care, cancer, post surgery care, wound or inflamed area care, skin & hair issues (hair thinning, psoriasis, eczema, dryness, etc), respiratory conditions like sinus/mucus/asthma/bronchitis, for energy & better sleep, depression/anxiety and better memory aid, healthy digestion, stomach issues like colitis, gas, constipation, for detoxification, muscle flexibility, arthritis, liver condition, diabetes, high cholesterol, stomach ulcers, allergies, weight loss, menstrual cramps and regular cycles, multiple sclerosis, thyroid help, anti-bacterial & anti-viral, helps kidney & liver function, dogs care and cancer prevention, hives in humans and overall well-being!

Some of the best benefits of Black Seeds/Oil -

Cancer - Black seeds work well in many cancers like pancreatic, breast, lung, prostate, colon, skin, and cervical. It is effective in healing cancer due to its ability to block cancer cell growth and induce apoptosis (programmed cell death). This oil can also be applied directly on skin lesions as it is known to help eliminate them as well.

Controls Blood Sugar & Cholesterol - This oil helps in lowering high blood pressure and helps in controlling diabetes. A study of 94 people who took black seeds daily for 3 months had reduced fasting sugar, average blood sugar and insulin resistance.

Rheumatoid Arthritis/Inflammatory Conditions - Black seeds and oil have thymoquinone which helps in reducing inflammation. Test tube studies as well as human studies have found the same result - that N. sativa helps in inhibiting inflammation fast and thus, helps in reducing pain. In a study of 42 people with rheumatoid arthritis, who took 1000 mg of black seed oil for 8 weeks saw reduction in inflammatory markers and oxidative stress.

Digestion & Detoxification - Taking a spoon or two right upon waking up and before bed is a great way to avoid digestive upsets like bloating, gas, constipation and weak elimination. This oil is a great aid for keeping things 'regular' in the bathroom - thus helping in proper elimination of toxic waste.

Skin & Hair - Oh my! If you want glowing skin and thick hair, then this oil is your new best friend. Because of its anti-inflammatory properties and rich oil content, it is liquid gold for both the skin and the scalp. It can help in reducing wrinkles, dryness, itchiness, dry scalp, flaky skin/scalp, redness, eczema, thinning hair, acne and simply to boost better sleep (by doing head massage with it). You can apply it on your skin and hair as is or mix with some other oil of your choice like organic coconut oil and apply.

Weight Loss - With obesity being the new epidemic, this oil has been in demand as many people have reported that they have lost weight since taking it. Mixing it with some organic, unrefined apple cider vinegar in clean water and taking it in the morning is the way to go if you want to give it a try for weight loss as well as increasing energy.

Taste & smell?

The seeds taste like a cross between black pepper, cumin, onion and oregano with a hint of thyme in the background. Again, this is subjective to one's palette but either way, they taste great and add an aromatic touch to recipes like soups, stews, curries, rice/pilaf and even veggie burgers.

The smell is pungent so both the oil and the seeds can be smelled clearly in recipes.

How to take?

Start with both oil & seeds. Take oil along with some juice and start right away. Take oil in the morning on empty stomach and once again before bed. Oil can also be used to massage painful joints or where you have cancer/tumor growing.

Seeds can be used in spice blends and can be eaten raw (as in churan recipe) as well as in cooked recipes for optimum benefits.

A Special Note for Cancer patients - IF you are a cancer patient or even if you have any benign tumor, then start massaging this sacred oil mixed with some essential oil like Frankincese or Myrrh or Tea Tree to induce apoptosis (death of a cell) fast and to possibly hope that the cancer/tumor won't grow anymore.  Taking a good spoonful or two each day in the morning and then in evening with a meal will also help you immensely and aid in maintaining good digestion while your body heals.

As for seeds, start cooking with them in vegetables, lentils/beans/soup recipes. Cooking makes the seeds more digestible and makes their 'fiber' and oils come out. Take advantage - it is FREE and black seeds are super powerful to add to your diet and get all the benefits from them.
